Steve Case on WSJ: My thoughts on how companies can do good & why they should measure their “social footprint”

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

Steve Case had a great Tweet yesterday that I thought I would share here on ActiveCause.  Dow Jones Newswires’ Shelly Banjo speaks with Eli Lilly Chairman Sidney Taurel, AOL Co-founder Steve Case and Western Union CEO Christina Gold.

Case states “it’s not just about philanthropy” but about what a company can do with the 3 “P’s” Product, People and Profits.  He further points to the success of Target’s corporate philanthropy program and advises that consumers are watching; particularly millennials.

In his words companies should start to think about a “social footprint”.
